Aamir Khan Wishes Babita Phogat A ‘Happy And Fulfilling Marriage’

On December 1, Commonwealth Games gold medallist Babita Phogat walked down the aisle with wrestler Vivek Suhag. Taking inspiration from Priyanka Chopra, Babita opted for a red shimmery red lehenga looked true blue stunning bride in Sabyasachi number. Pictures of their wedding were shared with her elder sister and wrestler Geeta Phogat, who’s all set to welcome a new member in her life. Wishing the wrestlers for their new life, Aamir Khan, who played father Mahavir Phogat of Geeta Phogat, played by Fatima Sana Shaikh and Babita Phogat, played by Sanya Malhotra, congratulated her on her marriage.

Taking to Twitter, Aamir Khan posted a happy wish for the couple as they kickstart their new life. His tweet read, “Dear @BabitaPhogat , wishing you and @SuhagVivek a happy, healthy and fulfilling marriage together. Love. More than her wedding, Babita made headlines for taking an ‘extra’ phera with her husband Vivek at the mandap. Instead of tradition 7 pheras, she took 8 pheras to support the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao initiative promotes education for girls and opposed female foeticide.

Meanwhile, her pregnant sister Geeta Phogat congratulated her younger sister on her marriage life. Sharing the photos, she wrote, “My lovely sister @babitaphogatofficial. Congratulations on your marriage. I hope that all of your dreams come true as you begin this new journey. Many many congratulations to both of you.”

 
Dangal, which also starred Zaira Wasim and Suhani Bhatnagar, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, set new records at the box-office as it made a lifetime collection of Rs 387 crore in Indian market and crossed almost Rs 2,000-crore mark globally.
